Fessing Up

Myspace Icons
I have to confess, I've had the most crappiest 2 weeks ever. Week No. 1, my mum's surgeon was not happy with her last tests so my mum had to go and have a super duper bone scan, more blood tests etc. So we had to be at the clinic at 8.30 am. The clinic was in the centre of "specialist city" and parking is non existent but my the parking angels were looking after me and I found parking 1 street away from the clinic, yay! As we got out of the car, I heard a hissing sound, 1 flat tyre, ok so I said to my parents lets go to the clinic and I'll worry about the tyre later. This clinic is not a happy place, now when I see nuclear medicine signs I want to throw up. So many people, young and old waiting to have their chemo, radiation therapy and various invasive tests, puts things into perspective.

Week 2, mum's results came back with no nasty buggers lurking in her body, thank you, thank you, thank you. Mum is having some nasty side affects from her anti cancer drug, so she is having a 2 week break from it and she has started some physio and she has started seriously to lose some weight. The next day, all 3 of my babies have come down with the flu. And after of much wiping of yucky noses, I have the black death as well. My way of destressing is eating, which I have done to the extreme. I didn't weigh in today, I was too afraid to. I shall face the scales tomorrow morning and I know the damage that I've done is massive *gulp*. I'm back on track today, done a walk and watching what I eat ....... OH has kicked my butt and says "no bloody excuses" to me about every 5 minutes hee hee. So I've climbed back on the wagon and it's giddyup all the way now!!!!!

Hey,
I hope your Mum will feel better soon. I can't begin to imagine what shes going through or your family. Good Luck this week, I know you can do it. Just stick to your diet and exercise and you will be back on track in no time.

Talk Later
Cass :)
